The National Council on Sexual Addiction and Compulsivity has defined sexual addiction as “engaging in persistent and escalating patterns of sexual behaviour acted out despite increasing negative consequences to self and others.” Put in another way a sex addict will continue to engage in certain sexual behaviours despite facing potential health risks, financial problems, shattered relationships or even arrest.
As a professional who has been meticulously trained to work with sexual compulsive behaviours I will evaluate you to consider three general things before determining the most appropriate type of treatment:
- the severity of the addiction
- your motivation to change
- available support from family or friends
At my clinic in Hove I will assess and construct a personal treatment plan that will enable you to cast off the chains of addiction and go on to lead the full and contented life that you deserve.
